Welcome to the team, Julia!

Brix is excited to announce the addition of our newest team member, Julia Greatting!  After working behind the scenes with Brix since the beginning, Julia has come on to work with us full time as our Director of Catering & Events, and we could not be more thrilled!

Julia comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the events and catering field.  After graduating college she set out in the fundraising arena, working both in political and not-for-profit fundraising.  While she enjoyed her work, her true passion was in food and coordinating events.  With her mind set in the direction she wanted to go, Julia left fundraising and took on a position with the Boka Restaurant Group in Chicago.  She worked hand-in-hand with the Catering Manager and began in-depth learning as to what it really took to plan weddings, large events and buyouts of restaurants.  After some time there, she transitioned to Marriott Hotels, where she continued her learning in large scale event coordination, sales and catering. For the past 2 years Julia had been the Catering, Events and Gifting Manager for Pastoral; where she coordinated catering between all locations, restaurant buyouts and the corporate gifting for the company. 

Julia brings years of experience and knowledge with her, and is an absolute pleasure to work with!  We are elated to have her with Brix and for you to have the opportunity to work with her!

New Tasting Menu Restaurant Oriole Opening This Month

We are really excited to try Oriole when it opens.  When I worked in wine sales while Brix was getting on it's feet, I used to sell Cara Sandoval wine at Senza with H2vino.  Always love to see a new project from such a great team.  Confident we will see Michelin Stars here as well!  The article from Eater Chicago is posted below.  Hope to see you all there!
