Many of you may know about a website called Eater.com....if not we would like to introduce it to you! The website is a valuable tool for keeping a pulse on the food scene not only in Chicago, but in major cities all around the country. It can introduce you to new restaurants you may not know about, help you follow your favorite Chef/Mixologist, or locate the best new cocktail bar for happy hour.
One of my favorite features on the site are the heat maps. These posts collect the hottest restaurants and bars of the moment and put them on a map. It can help you venture into a new neighborhood in Chicago or allow you to navigate the culinary scene while you travel around the country!
We are fortunate enough to be featured this week on the website. Eater typically doesn't cover catering companies, but they took an interest in our coffee window and event space. We are truly trying to change the way people think about catering by proving that fine dining can be brought to your next catered event. The article highlighted my background as a Sommelier, however they left out a very important aspect of Brix. Our food and experience at your event would not be possible without the kitchen team headed by Partner and Chef Joe Gancarz. With his experience in high volume restaurants and Michelin starred fine dining, there's really nothing we can't accomplish for you!
